Glow Tanning Salon is a locally women-owned and operated tanning salon in the heart of Gardendale. Owners, Mary and Alyssa, truly have a heart for clients and a passion for the tanning industry. Our salon offers UV tanning, Custom Spray Tans, and Red Light Therapy to help you achieve your tan goals. Mary and Alyssa both worked at Glow throughout college, building relationships and dreams of one day it being their own. In 2020, as if life wasn’t crazy enough, they took the jump and purchased Glow. Now years later, they have poured into the business making it a welcoming and personable environment.

Majority of these reviews are for the spray tans. This review is for the actual tanning beds. I still tan here, because this is the only place close to me that has regular tanning beds. BUT, the beds need updating. We need new and clean beds. For the price of $85 a month, it is wild how dirty and old the beds are. Most of the beds lids fall down on top of you and you have to hold it because it won’t catch itself. They are very small compared to newer beds at other salons. ***The beds are not cleaned properly. There is hair all in and around the buIbs. There is dirt, lint, hair all in the vents, fans, sides, crevices of each bed— on top, where you lay. NOT JUST inside the glass around the bulbs. I’ve tanned here for months and looked at the same hair/dirt in the same spot over and over, next to my head.*** It feels disgusting when you are looking at that each time. It doesn’t make you feel pretty, clean, or relaxing. I do not want to be majorly rude about it or have Glow take their beds away completely— because I still want to come here and need a closer place to tan. The ladies here are so sweet and helpful. I’ve never had one bad experience where someone had an attitude with me. It’s a gorgeous place. And I REALLY want to update my review to have 5 STARS. Hoping to see some newer, modern tanning beds & cleaner beds that have been deep cleaned. And are cleaned properly, DAILY. So I can continue to come here & support this salon this year. New to the area and needed a spray tan for engagement pics! I couldn’t have been happier with my experience with Glow! My hair and make up artist said it was one of the best sprays she had seen after years in the wedding industry! Will absolutely be using Glow for all of my spray tan needs!
I walked in to Glow wanting to discuss packages, but as a woman constantly drinking water, I had to tinkle. When I asked if they had a bathroom, the young girl, looked at me & said, “we don’t have PUbLIC bathrooms,” After I told her I wanted to talk about prices and packages, but needed to tinkle first , she kind of acted really snooty and said, “Oh, well, Ok.” She didn’t make me feel welcome AT ALL. When I came back up, She said, “I’ll be right back, I have to go clean a bed.” And left me up there at the front! I just left. Attitude when working with the public is everything.
I had such an amazing experience at Glow! It was my first time getting a spray tan and I got it before my wedding weekend but it turned out great and I had no issues! Also the staff was very welcoming and I was in and out! Taylor was very sweet and helpful as I was a little nervous what to expect. I definitely plan on going back!
I am absolutely thrilled with my spray tan from Glow! I've had spray tans before, but this one is by far the best. The color is so natural and even, and it looks like I just returned from a tropical vacation. No streaks, no orange tones, just a beautiful, glowing tan. Beyond the amazing results, the customer service was exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and friendly atmosphere. The staff were knowledgeable and took the time to understand exactly what I was looking for. They made me feel comfortable and confident throughout the entire process. If you're looking for a flawless spray tan and a top-notch experience, this is the place to go!

Alyssa made my daughters first spray tan experience such a positive one. She and her team were such a calming presence. We absolutely love Glow for flawless spray tans! The staff is friendly and attentive with flexible hours. The facility is beautiful and clean. I highly recommend Glow for gorgeous spray tans that lasts for days if not weeks.

Taylor is always amazing!! She sprayed me before a trip to Punta Cana and ended up getting engaged there!! Looked perfect in pictures and in person! She always gives such helpful tips on how to get the most out of your tan and is such a kind person!
Glow is the best, they do such amazing work, especially Alyssa and since I do not do this very often she gave me her phone number to reach out with any questions or concerns. I have used them for several years for pageant season and would not think of going anywhere else.
This was my first time EVER getting a spray tan and Taylor made sure I knew I had no reason to be worried. I got exactly what I asked for, “natural but enough to be able to tell in pictures.” LOL Thank you so much Taylor, and Glow Tanning Salon in contributing towards my special day! Glow is the best!! I had my spray tan done for my wedding day, wedding make up trial, and bridal shower and they did an amazing job. Alyssa and Taylor are great and my tans always look so good and natural! The customer service is 10/10 -everyone is so friendly and the prices are very affordable. I will always recommend glow to anyone that needs a good tan!!

I have gotten so many spray tans from Glow Tanning Salon recently and they are THE BEST! They have the best customer service and such good prices! Most importantly their tans are always amazing! My tan always looks so natural and even and fades so naturally! Truly the best tans and experience! I will only go to Glow for tans and of course I went to them for my wedding tan this past November! Taylor has done majority of my tans and they are so good every time!!!

I got my first spray tan ever last week for my best friend’s wedding! Mary Allison made the experience so comfortable and easy. My tan was sprayed evenly and it turned out beautifully! It lasted me for so many days after the wedding as well! Highly recommend!!!

Glow is amazing!! I’ve gotten many spray tans from them for events over the years and also laid in the beds and they’re the best! It’s always a super clean and welcoming environment! The girls always so sweet are great about working you in their busy schedule!

10/10!!! Got sprayed by Alyssa for me wedding a few years ago and she recently sprayed me for a photoshoot and I can’t say enough about this salon and all of the girls that work there.
